[00:00:00]: Well, hey there, it's Aprille Reed. And today I'm really excited to talk to my multi passionate entrepreneurs who have so many ideas spinning around in their head, but not enough clarity to run with even one. And if that's you, just know I see you, I am you. And I want to help you finally figure out which idea has the best chance at actually making you money without burning you out and without requiring a 60 hour week or massive following. So the name of this presentation is finding your profitable product idea. Even if you think everything's been done, because let's be real, like it has all been done before and believe it or not, that's actually great news. People think that the market is too saturated. Whatever, you know, whatever you're thinking about doing or what direction you're thinking about going, you know, a lot of people think that it's just too late.
[00:01:13]: Like, oh my goodness, I should have, I should have started this years ago, months ago, whatever. And what I really need you to understand is, is that you don't have to be original to be profitable. I mean, matter of fact, like, let's just be real, it's all been done, like I said before, but even with that said, you know, you don't have to be original to be profitable, but you do need to be clear, so clear on what you offer, who it's for, and how to make it work for you long term. So I'm going to walk you through two powerful frameworks. Now the first one, I'm going to talk about the four mega niches that people never, ever stop spending money in. And then I want to walk you through my six part clarity process so that you can vet your ideas and choose the one that actually makes sense for your life and income goals. Okay, so let's get into the four mega niches. So when people tell me that there's just too much competition, you know, I just have to smile because competition means there's demand.
[00:02:17]: If no one else was selling it, you know, then, at least nowadays, then you would, you probably need to worry about that. So before we even get into clarity, I want you to understand the four mega niches, the areas where money flows on autopilot. So if your offer falls into one of those four, you're already one step of one step ahead. So I'm just gonna like list them really quickly. And it's wealth, health, relationship and personal development. Sex. So wealth, these are the things that help people either make money, save money, maybe be more productive, or grow their business. Health, you know, when we when we think about health, we're talking about fitness, nutrition, energy, sleep, skin, hormones, mental health, relationships.
[00:03:10]: We're talking about dating, parenting, like love after a divorce, marriage, boundaries, communication, and lastly, personal development. That's confidence, time management, mindset, creativity and manifestation. So listen up, just because you're in a mega niche doesn't mean that your offer will automatically work. You still need to make sure it's a good fit for you. That's where the clarity process comes in. Because if your idea doesn't line up with your life and your passion or your people, it's going to stall out. So let's walk through the six filters I use to help you choose the right idea. And you know, before I get into that, hopefully I didn't run through that super, super fast.
[00:04:03]: But basically, if your ideal falls into either one of those four categories is going to be lucrative. It's going to be a product, a service, whatever it is. If you're, if you're giving a product or service or whatnot is, it's going to be profitable for you. Okay, so let's talk about the six part clarity process. All right, so right quick, I'm just going to list all six and then I'm going to go into each one. The first one, picking a business idea that you're passionate about. Two, solving an urgent problem or desire for your people. Three, modeling.
[00:04:45]: I am going to explain that and what that means and what that and what that isn't. Four, scalability. Five. Automations and systems and six, repeat buyers. All right, so let's go to the first clarity checkpoint which is passion. Are you passionate about this topic you're trying to teach? You're trying to create a product around? A lot of times people will get into business ventures because they know how to do something and that's cool, you know that, that, that's, that's cool. But a lot of times they don't stick with it because maybe it was somebody else's idea. You know, maybe somebody got into something like an MLM or, or whatnot and they said, hey, you really should try to do this.
[00:05:41]: I'm making Handover Fist. It's, it's a really good business. You choose your own hours and so you give it, you give it a shot. Why not? With those businesses don't tend to really stick. So even though they're profitable because they're just going to be some days where you're just not going to be motivated to show up and do the thing, maybe you won't be motivated to really do the work, because it's nothing that you're profitable. I mean it's nothing that you are passionate about. It's more so a means to win in. I'm doing this because of the promise that I'm going to get on the other side.
[00:06:24]: So I always say, you know, yes, you can make money creating a product or a business around something that you know how to do. But I'm going to say follow your passion because if you're not excited about it, like really excited about it, your audience won't be either. And on those times where you just don't feel like showing up, choosing a business idea and a product that you're passionate about is going to help you show up anyway. So that's the first one and you can just make a list of like all the things that you're passionate about. So the second one is solving an urgent problem or desire. Now people don't tend to pay for nice to haves. I mean, yes, there are certain price points, we call them no brainer price points where it's like you put an offer in front of somebody and if it's price low enough they're like, ah, what do I, you know, what do I have to lose? And they just grab it, you know, that's why when you go out to the checkout line, that's usually where all the, the candy is. You know, this is a dollar Snickers over here and two for one candy bar over there.
[00:07:35]: But for the most part people don't pull out their credit cards, pull out money out their wallets for the nice to have. They pay to fix what's keeping them up at night. What's the pain your product is going to solve for them or what's the deep desire is going to help them achieve. So really understanding this point is going to help you come up with your profitable product ideal. And, and when you know that you can help someone, because I think human desire, we're just wired like we really want to help people. And I tend to attract people who want to help people and we get dopamine just from the joy of knowing like I can help you. So that right there you're picking something that you're passionate about that you would talk about, that you would give away for free anyway. You probably already have.
[00:08:38]: You probably have already taught somebody something you know how to do really well for free anyway. Right? And now we're, now I'm just trying to help you monetize that. And so now you're solving an urgent problem for Them or a desire. Now the third thing is modeling. Because a lot of times this entrepreneurial life where we're all alone, you look around at your parents, your, your, your siblings, your cousins, your family, your friends, your co workers, and you're the only one who's venturing in this entrepreneurship journey. There's just no one to talk to. So you know how I have this idea, I have this product, how do I get it out there? That's where. And nowadays we have AI, I was going to say Google and YouTube, but we also have AI that we can look up and we can find other people, other companies, other businesses that are doing similar things and we can model after them and see what's working for them that not to copy.
[00:09:40]: This isn't. Okay, so you have your logo is this color with this animal. So my logo is going to be this color in this animal. And you have six modules. So I'm going to have six modules. But it's really to look at, okay, what's working good for them and what is missing in the market that maybe I can capitalize on? And how are they delivering this product? Are they delivering it as an ebook? And what are people talking about with this ebook? Do they, do people like this particular subject or product being delivered as an ebook? And if not, maybe I need to deliver it as an audio course. Maybe I need to deliver it as a multi email sequence. So we're modeling to see what, what someone else is doing.
[00:10:34]: Not to copy verbatim, word for word or anything like that, but to see what's working in the market. And better yet, what are people saying they wish they had more of like what's missing, that we can fill that gap. So I just want to say it again. Your job is not to copy. This isn't about copying somebody. This isn't about taking somebody's course they already created. And then you just change the title and slap it up as your own. No, no, no.
[00:11:09]: It's to model what is working and put your own spin on it. Now the fourth thing is scalability. So yeah, because there's all kind of businesses out there. There's people that are starting restaurants, there's people that are, you know, doing hair. You know, my expertise is more so online business because you can leverage online business. I'm all about leveraging. I'm all about creating it once and selling it on repeat over and over and over and over and over again. And that's scalability.
April Reid [00:11:41]: Can you grow this idea without growing your workload? It's not about we're not about to leave our job where we're working 40 hours a week to work 40 hours a week in our business. I mean, yeah, that might be cool for a minute and who knows, depending on what business idea you're trying to create and put out there, you just might have to work 40 hours just to get the funnels and the backends and the foundations put together and your website up. But long term, this isn't about going from working for an employer for 40 hours to you're being an employer in your own business. So can this business idea scale so that you're working three to five hours per day, three to five days per week and again going back to modeling and seeing what is working for them and how hard is someone else working and do I need to work that hard? And what systems and processes can I put in place to where I know I picked a business idea that can scale. That's why I really love online entrepreneurship because, and creating digital products because you can create an ebook once, one time, one time and sell it on repeat. The fifth thing is automation. Can you eventually automate part parts of the business whether it's delivery, marketing or both. You know I love bite sized systems and I love the set it and forget it strategies.
[00:13:26]: I mean not setting and forgetting everything. Especially, especially, especially now with AI and everything is just AI generated and AI created. I feel like people nowadays are really craving that, that personal connection. So it's not necessarily like we're just going to set it and forget every single thing, every piece in our business. I really want you to be the face of your business and show up for your people and be live and real. But, but it's not about always working in your business. It's about setting up those automations up, setting up and knowing what apps and, and systems and processes to put in place so that you get your time back. So so far we're picking a business based on what you're passionate about and you might be passionate about many things but list them all down.
[00:14:21]: We're solving an urgent problem or desire for our people. We're going to see okay, who else is doing what I want to do. And we want to model, not copy, but, but model what's working and put our own spin on it and better yet what aren't they doing? And this isn't just about copying one or two companies like do your research. What are these top five, six, seven people companies are doing and what's missing that I can put my own spin on it Then are we able to scale this? Because we don't want to trade dollars per hours. You know, there's only, there's only 24 hours in a day. So we need to create something that is scalable without needing to add more time. And one thing I'm, I, I'm not going to talk about here because you know, I only have a short time to get this out is like mindset. Breaking free from that mindset of the more I work, the more I make.
[00:15:23]: Because that, that, that's just isn't true. That isn't true. Let me know somebody who has had two, three, four or five jobs and they were just bookoo rich. They probably weren't. So you find me somebody who's had two or three jobs. They probably was just as broke as a person who had one job. But you know, we, we won't get into that. This isn't about mindset today.
[00:15:49]: But you know, understanding that scalability, that the less you work the more you make and having the process in the systems and drive the automations in place. So that is a real reality. And lastly, 6. Selling to repeat buyers. Look, I'm just going to tell you, okay, yes, you need a churn of new customers, but acquiring new customers can be expensive. It requires your time, you have to educate. It requires your money. Whether you're doing Facebook ads, it's going to require time or, or it's going to require money selling to repeat buyers, people who already know, like and trust you.
[00:16:30]: It's easier to sell to those people because of the, because of that. So can you create something that people want more of? That's, that's the question right there. That's what's important. You don't want to be constantly chasing new customers just to survive. I mean, yes, yes, new customers are needed, but you also want to be nurturing the customers that you already have. They don't require as much time to explain things because they're already in your world and they already understand. They're probably just waiting for you to put out your next product. And a business built on repeat buyers is a business that lasts.
[00:17:15]: I mean look at the boom of subscriptions, right? You got Photoshop, became a subscription. Microsoft. Well, I can't. Was Microsoft always. I don't know, maybe, maybe like Microsoft, like PowerPoint, you know, like Word and all that, the Microsoft Suite. Maybe it's always been a subscription, but it just seemed like back in like 2020, you know, 2019, 2020, 2021, around that time it's like everything was going to subscription, you couldn't just buy something anymore. Not too quick. And you got the upgrade because you've already bought it.
[00:17:57]: Like everything's going to subscription repeat customers. Now if you're listening to all of this and thinking, well this is good, but I'm still not 100% sure what my idea even is yet, then I created something just for you. I um. It's a free 5 day email series that will help you uncover your most aligned and exciting business niche step by step. [00:19:16]: So you know, I just, you know, let me leave you with this. You don't need a brand new idea. That's first of all. So if you thought that like let go of that mindset, you don't need a brand new idea. You just need a business that aligns with your life and solves a real problem with for somebody else. That's what makes it profitable. Not originality, not perfection, just alignment and action.
